Wine from Corsica is definitely on the rise - not quite French, not quite Italian, this Mediterranean island  has emerged with its own wine identity over the last few years, and this "Clos Reginu" bottling is a great proof of why. A fantastic balance of earthy, fruity, and savory, we love this wine for its layers. It's tough to find a wine with this much going on at this price point. The dominant grape in Corsican reds, Niellucciu, is genetically identical to Sangiovese, and you definitely get those tart dusty red fruit notes on the palate.
