Philippe Alliet "Vielles Vignes" Chinon 2018
Considered by many to be one of the finest producers in Chinon, the Alliets are part of a new generation of Loire winemakers dedicated to low yields, optimally ripe fruit, and immaculate vineyard management. This Vielles Vignes bottling is made from 60 year old vines on gravel soil, and the result is magnificent. This wine is concentrated and packed with flavor, and is the perfect example of just how big of a step up that old vines can be.
