Winemaker Maxime Graillot is the son of the legendary Alain Graillot, and after learning under his father, decided he wanted to try his hand at a different style of Syrah than his traditionalist father. While the wines of Alain Graillot are known for their unruly tannin, Maxime's wines are much more approachable young. He uses around 30% whole cluster, as opposed to the 100% whole cluster practices of his father's domaine.

Truly a master of "Next Generation" Syrah, we love how approachable this wine is while still showing the brooding qualities of the grape.
