We adore Washington Cabernet at Pasadena Wine Shop, and like to think of it as the midpoint between California Cabernet and Bordeaux. Cab from Washington is full bodied with dark fruit and ripe tannins, but cool nights gives these wines high acidity than its Napa counterparts, making them more balanced. The 2019 Requiem is a high quality blend of grapes from nine sites across the Columbia Valley in Washington, and specifically from three AVAs: Red Mountain (50%), Horse Heaven Hills (30%), and Walla Walla (20%). 15% of the overall blend included small lots of supporting varietals - Merlot, Malbec, Syrah, and Petit Verdot.
