Three bottles of juicy, light reds for summer! Meant to be served at or slightly below room temperature.
Caves des Onze Communes Fumin: What the heck is Fumin? We asked the same thing when we first tried this wine. Fumin is a little known red grape indigineous to the Valle d'Aosta region of Italy. Its name comes from "fumo" which means smoke in Italian, and this unruly little red grape has struggled to make a name for itself until recently. When we drink this Fumin, smoke is the last thing on our minds - we taste tart and ripe red and black fruit, with super smooth tannins and balanced acidity. This playful red is so versatile and easy to like, it certainly has a place on the dinner table...at least on ours :)
A Tribute to Grace Grenache: Compelling in its elegance, A Tribute to Grace is a wine that we simply can't get enough of. Angela Osborne has dedicated her career to focusing entirely on high quality Grenache, and her single-vineyard bottlings are hands down the best examples of domestic Grenache out there. We are lucky enough to have her Central Coast Grenache, which encompasses Angela's gentle hand in the winemaking process, and the power that comes in her restraint. Whole cluster pressed and fermented in neutral barrel.
Jean-Marc Burgaud Lantignié Beaujolais: The tiny town of Lantignié makes some very tasty old vine Gamay. Just outside of Morgon, the wines of Lantignié also have deeper, darker fruit qualities in the glass, with great minerality and acidity to balance it all out. One of our favorite "smooth, light reds", Jean-Marc Burgaud really showcases the charm of this little Beaujolais town. Simply delicious.
